About Us

Acknowlegement of Country:

Flux & Flame acknowleges the Traditional Custodians of the lands in which we live and work, the Wurunjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and we acknowledge that First Nations sovereignty has never been ceeded.

About Flux & Flame:

Flux & Flame was conceptualised amongst the lush surroundings of Wurundjeri Country in Naarm (Melbourne) and draws inspiration from the rugged beauty of the local bushlands.

With a strong focus on small-batch production, every piece is slowly handcrafted using the ancient technique of sand casting. This technique requires each peice to undergo an intricate process of carving, texturing, hand-pouring and polishing; resulting in a piece that is perfectly imperfect and completely unique.

For me, Flux & Flame is a passion project; a journey dedicated to artistic exploration where I challenge my perception of perfection in order to create, bespoke and individualised pieces of jewellery.

Our Sustainability Mission:

Flux & Flame endevours to use sustainable and plastic free packaging where possible. We use recycled paper packing boxes, eco mailers (the compostable bag our packages are delivered in), and plastic free stickers from the Australian company 'Heaps Good Packaging'. Our ring boxes are paper and recyclable, however, they do contain a small amount of foam to secure the ring in-place, ensuring it arrives to your door safe and sound!

In the near future, we will exclusively use recycled metals (i.e., gold and silver) in our jewellery. Currently, we only use sapphires (both natural and lab grown) in our rings, which are sourced predominantly from Australia. If you would like a ring made with 100% lab grown sapphires, please feel free to contact us for a custom order.
